PIE EATING TIME!!!! Let’s do this people! Seriously, if you ARE coming you do need to call or email so we can hold you a spot-otherwise we might not have a pie for you!
Great Harvest Bread Co. is having a Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest, Saturday, October 16th! There are 2 divisions-children ages 8-15 and adults 16 and up. Each contestant will have 60 seconds to eat an entire pumpkin pie with whipped cream-NO SILVERWARE OR HANDS ALLOWED! Entry cost is $2 per ticket and all proceeds to go Smart Start (www.newhanoverkids.org). We will also have lots of fall treats for sample and sale, coloring booth for kids to make our fall decorations for the store, and some fall themed art from some of our favorite Wilmington artists!

The winner of each division wins a gift certificate for a FREE PIE A MONTH FOR A YEAR, a Great Harvest t-shirt, a scone named after the winner and the title till next year’s event!
Deadline to enter is October 14th, 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in the store or online by emailing greatharvestsam@gmail.com

(All contestants must sign a waiver in regards to food allergies and personal responsibility while eating the pie. Each contestant will only be given one pie. In the event of a tie there will be a “sudden death” round with another pie per contestant.)
